Destin promises to be a top destination this summer. With gorgeous weather, plenty of attractions, and plentiful water activities, there is no better place to enjoy a vacation. To add to the fun, a new splash pad is opening for visitors and local residents to enjoy.
This summer, you can cool down at Captain Leonard Destin Park. The park's splash pad, which features roughly 30 fountains, is expected to be a top attraction at the new 3.4-acre park at 101 Calhoun Ave.
The park has been open on and off since last fall, but an official opening was delayed because of Hurricane Sally and COVID-19. On May 13th, however, the park finally had its opening ceremony and became ready for public use! It will be open daily from dusk to dawn.
Guests will be able to splash and play in a variety of water features or they can relax on the turf. It is guaranteed that you'll have fun in the sun!
